Plagiarism By Sheltial Green

It’s a disgrace knowing most of the things that exist come from a dark being and others take credit / but when you meet other people that steal from you rearranging your words it’s not surprising to know that person doesn’t have brain power
Lesson – Plagiarism is wrongful appropriation purloining and publication of another’s authors language thoughts ideas expressions

My take on it

Plagiarism is no brain fabrications
It mainly comes from the uneducated ( not educated )
Stealing from others you replicated
Familiarize yourself with lies
Your descending use of your mind
Words you can’t apply to yourself
I see you standing with everyone else
Don’t know how to walk alone
Mind deterioration mind gone
Originator
Consider yourself the replicate(or)
Xeroxed stay inside your box
Fake to ape counterfeit
Caricature words saying you’re full of shit
You don’t have any authorization
To steal any of my publications

Hip-Hop Promo By SCO

MixTape Promotion 101 aka How To Promote My Mixtape
Whether you are an artist or a producer there is a good possibility you will at some point be releasing a mixtape. This should help you maximize possible benefits from releasing your mixtape.
You must first determine what goal you are trying to achieve by releasing a mixtape. It is essential that you determine your target audience, the budget you are working with, and how you want to distribute it. Releasing a mixtape could be done for many reasons. It could be for promotion, hyping an upcoming album release, a tour, etc. If your primary goal of releasing a mixtape is to make money then you should probably consider putting together an album instead. An album is a completely different story.
So who is your target audience? If the goal is to obtain more fans then they would be your target audience. If you are attempting to be recognized by someone in the industry then they would be your target audience. This ties into the next questions that must be answered. What is my budget? How much available funds do you have to invest in your mixtape? How much to spend on recording expenses, distribution, packaging, advertising, etc. How much you spend depends on your target audience. If you are trying to reach more fans than you might decide to release it digitally on the net. If you are trying to gain exposure from someone in the industry you may be putting together a complete promotional package that includes a hard copy of your mixtape packaged and looking professional. It is also possible that you decide to do both.
Releasing a mixtape digitally can be free or almost no cost. It can also be extremely easy and convenient. This does not require you to hit the streets passing CD’s out of the back of your mom’s minivan. It also does not require professional packaging and other expenses associated with hard copies. It makes it really easy to reach a lot more people, especially people outside of your local scene. The downfall of the digital release is it does not have the personal touch and relationship building aspects provided with the physical copy. I personally recommend doing both if the budget allows. Both have there benefits and doing both maximizes your chance of gaining more fans. A site that offers digital mixtape releases is mixtapebiz.com
Promotion is crucial regardless of who your target audience or what your goal is with your mixtape. When promoting a mixtape it is extremely important to promote on all forms of Social Media. Sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Reverbnation, etc. Promote your tape on all of these sites in the forums and on your personal pages. Make it one click away for viewers by providing direct links to listen and download. The easier it is for fans to find it the more exposure you will receive.
Another means of promotion is to hit up all forums that focus on your genre of music. Drop links, ask for feedback, etc. One thing that I commonly see artists miss out on is attempting to have a blog write an article about your upcoming release or mixtape. This can provide publicity as well as provide promotion from a third party. It’s not just the artist telling you they are good, its an unbiased listener giving you their thoughts and opinions on the mixtape. Search for blogs in your genre. Ask them to feature your mixtape on their blog and write a review. Having quotes from articles and blogs are also great to use in promotional packages. Another great way to promote your album is to feature other artists and producers.
The more people that are on the mixtape usually means the more people promoting it. Other artists will promote songs that they are included on which leads to more promotion for you. Also if you work with artists or producers that already have a solid following it might create an instant buzz for your mixtape.
Promote your mixtape by all means possible. Definitely take advantage of all the free opportunities on the net. Provide good music, promote it well, and you are moving in the right direction to achieve success.

Google starts watching what you do off the Internet too

Original Post Date: December 30, 2012

google spyThe most powerful company on the Internet just got a whole lot creepier: a new service from Google merges offline consumer info with online intelligence, allowing advertisers to target users based on what they do at the keyboard and at the mall.

Without much fanfare, Google announced news this week of a new advertising project, Conversions API, that will let businesses build all-encompassing user profiles based off of not just what users search for on the Web, but what they purchase outside of the home.

In a blog post this week on Google’s DoubleClick Search site, the Silicon Valley giant says that targeting consumers based off online information only allows advertisers to learn so much. “Conversions,” tech-speak for the digital metric made by every action a user makes online, are incomplete until coupled with real life data, Google says.

“We understand that online advertising also fuels offline conversions,” the blog post reads. Thus, Google says, “To capture these lost conversions and bring offline into your online world, we’re announcing the open beta of our Conversions API for uploading offline conversion automatically.”

The blog goes on to explain that in-store transactions, call-tracking and other online activities can be inputted into Google to be combined with other information “to optimize your campaigns based on even more of your business data.”

Google is all but certain to ensure that all user data collected off- and online will be cloaked through safeguards that will allow for complete and total anonymity for customers. When on-the-Web interactions start mirroring real life activity, though, even a certain degree of privacy doesn’t make Conversions API any less creepy. As Jim Edwards writes for Business Insider, “If you bought a T shirt at The Gap in the mall with your credit card, you could start seeing a lot more Gap ads online later, suggesting jeans that go with that shirt.”

Of course, there is always the possibility that all of this information can be unencrypted and, in some cases, obtained by third-parties that you might not want prying into your personal business. Edwards notes in his report that Google does not explicitly note that intelligence used in Conversions API will be anonymized, but the blowback from not doing as much would sure be enough to start a colossal uproar. Meanwhile, however, all of the information being collected by Google — estimated to be on millions of servers around the globe — is being handed over to more than just advertising companies. Last month Google reported that the US government requested personal information from roughly 8,000 individual users during just the first few months of 2012.

“This is the sixth time we’ve released this data, and one trend has become clear: Government surveillance is on the rise,” Google admitted with their report.

Other Interesting news for our conscious readers out there.

4 ways to improve your vocal recordings.

If you’re just starting to record your own tracks or have been for awhile you may have ran into the problem of your vocals not sounding loud enough with out turning them up to the point where they sound bad. Some of it can be caused by certain frequency ranges being mixed to high in the beat, using a microphone not designed for studio vocal use or any number of other things. Here are a few ways to make your vocals stand out with out turning them up so loud they sound like crap.

You’ve got 2 channels, use them.

One way to really fatten up your sound is by utilizing both stereo channels. What I like to do is an my main vocals a bit to the right, and on my over dubs I will record them twice and pan one take hard left and one hard right, you can also record your verse a second time, turn it down a bunch and pan it to the left to fill out your main take that is panned to the right. Try experimenting with this and you will love how full and wide your vocals sounds.

A wee bit of reverb.

Another easy way to improve your vocal recordings is to add a bit of reverb. I don’t like to use so much that it sounds echoey, but just enough can really bring out your vocal tracks. Most reverbs will have a setting for the type of reverb and the amount of reverb that gets mixed in, often labeled wet/dry. I like to set the reverb type to plate and the wet/dry to about 3-4% wet (3-4% of the reverb mixed in) depending on which reverb you use this amount may be different but you only need a very little bit of reverb to make your vocals sound more full before they starting sounds like you recorded your voice in the shower.

The thing your rap/sing into.

No amount of creative mixing or tricks can make bad recordings sound good, the best way to prevent this is by having good equipment. As far as a microphone goes, a large diaphragm condenser mic is going to be your best bet, you can buy them from anywhere from 50 dollars and up, and expect to spend between 150-300 on a good quality vocal mic. You may also want to consider adding a tube preamp to your set up as this combined with the condenser mic will give you very rich and full vocal recordings.

Don’t rap like a drunk bafoon.

I hear this time and time again, people rapping but you cannot understand a single word they are saying. This one is tough to notice yourself because you know what you said so your brain just hears that, but other people may not know what you are saying. Ask some of your friends or other artists you know to give your music a listen and ask them if they can understand what you are saying. If a couple people say that your lyrics are hard to understand then really try to make it a point to pronounce your words well while you’re rapping. You have a much better chance of people appreciating your lyrics if they can understand them.

Stay Active!

I can give you little tips and tricks and you can find a plethora of information on the internet but the best teacher is experience and as you record and mix more and more of your own vocals you will learn what sounds good with your voice and what doesn’t and with some effort and practice, you’ll be mixing like a pro in no time!

There once was a time

where one plus one equaled two

not him plus her times her parenthetically

where you found the variables BEFORE

you divided the one with the x-chromosome squared

then multiplied

but now people leave their previous problems unsolved and skip to the next,

rather than pushing forward and solving for ‘y’ (why) instead of ‘x’ (ex).

He’d rather find the function that creates her parabolas

instead of doing the basic algebra

The order of operations is messed up

too many inconsistincies

trying to get inside my parenthesis

too many cosine-ing the sines

thinking they’re prime,

but they’re just another number on the number line

not even outliers

or multipliers

just dividers

that divide US

As I travel on that tangent, my thoughts become acute

I try to convey them but my students are just too obtuse

It’s a shame that we can’t be equilateral or congruent based on our similarities

Because everyone thinks that they’re 90 degrees

I guess it’s because we’re parallell,

as irrational imaginary intellectuals put us through hell

refusing to give us the equation

for a point of intersection

they just want to negate us.

and no one wants to solve the problems by hand so they search for calculators

What are we but a bunch of ones and oh’s

They look at us and see binary code

Only when you look at us as individuals

but when put together,

we create.we mold.

we shape.

But until the Sum of us can be conveyed to Some of us, we will never add up.

We will never operate.

It’s just simple mathematics.

It really amazes this writer to see how many people in the world are focused on another persons life and what they are doing. I mean really your personal life must be really boring and meaningless for you to sit around and assume anything about another human being,me personally I have to much going on in my life to sit around and ponder about another persons hopes, dreams and aspirations.

We live in a world full of dreams so why just settle on one
because someone else only has one, go for the gold in any and everything you set your minds eye on. There will be people that will talk down on you for no reason at all, well maybe one reason and that’s because they really admire your drive and wish that they could do what you do. Instead of people congratulating others they want to focus on tearing others down the first chance they get.

Watch out for friends in disguise that seem to send you well wish but are secretly waiting on your down fall. I have seen it happen time and time again in my time on this planet, so don’t fret when somebody speaks down to you just remember these words of encouragement “YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR HEART TO IF YOU ONLY BELIEVE IN YOU”.
